The two-day event is organized around 7 sessions aimed at presenting an articulated analysis of issues relevant to the field of ICT in the parliamentary context and their regional and continental implications.

The keynote speakers will present scenarios of issues and concerns that ICT pose to countries and society. They will also highlight the unique challenges that African countries have to address in order to increase and improve the demand for information and communication services and at the same time safeguard the rights of citizens/consumers, curbing the widening gap between the e-haves and e-have-nots and the further marginalization of the poorest sections of society.

Each of the sessions will deal with a few strategic issues that will be introduced by brief presentations by experts. These presentations will lead to a Questions and Answers session by a panel of high level parliamentary political representatives that will eventually be opened to all participants. The goal is to create an ideal environment for an informed discussion and provide attending participants with the opportunity to seek clarifications and opinions from experts and colleagues.

Participants will also have  a unique opportunity to learn the issues, the concerns and the opportunities driving the development of Information Society, exchange views, share information and experiences and identify areas of cooperation while enjoying the support of legal and technical advice from international senior experts.
